If my moms 'toasted and buttered' poundcake is too much to handle - this won't be...probably.
Ingredients
- 6 - 3/4 inch slices poundcake
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons Chambord
- Assorted fresh berries:
- blueberries, raspberries - you get the idea
- Sugar in the Raw - it's that really chunky sort of crystalized brown sugar
Directions
- Put whipping cream, sugar and Chambord in mixer, and whip cream until thick - set aside in fridge
- Heat grill to medium and grill slices until each piece gets grill marks
- Place cake on bottom of plate, add a scoop of whipped cream, fruit, a little more cream and a light sprinkle of the brown sugar
