Danielle Red Clam Sauce
Makes about 3 cups
You shouldn't think of this as adult food because of the clams - it's totally kid approved. Danielle's son, Cory, gave it his 9 year old 'stamp of approval'. Oh, and don't be put off by the V8 - this is as delicious as Danielle promised.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoon minced garlic
- 2 tablespoon flour
- 2 cans (5.5 oz) V8 juice
- 2 cans (6.5 oz) chopped clams
- 1 teaspoon chopped basil
- 3 tablespoon chopped cilantro
Steps
- Saute garlic in butter and stir in the flour
- Slowly add V8 and juice from the clams - simmer for about 10 minutes
- Add clams and herbs and heat through
- Serve over any linguine or spaghetti
