Makes about 3 cups

You shouldn't think of this as adult food because of the clams - it's totally kid approved. Danielle's son, Cory, gave it his 9 year old 'stamp of approval'. Oh, and don't be put off by the V8 - this is as delicious as Danielle promised.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 2 cans (5.5 oz) V8 juice
  • 2 cans (6.5 oz) chopped clams
  • 1 teaspoon chopped basil
  • 3 tablespoon chopped cilantro

Steps

  1. Saute garlic in butter and stir in the flour
  2. Slowly add V8 and juice from the clams - simmer for about 10 minutes
  3. Add clams and herbs and heat through
  4. Serve over any linguine or spaghetti
