Peg's Pear & Gorgonzola Bread
Peggy Peggy Peggy. I wanted a picture of her to use on my show and she sent one of her with (of all people) Emeril Lagasse in his restaurant in Las Vegas!! That's like sending Superman a picture of you with Batman! What was she thinking?
Ingredients
- 1 loaf good crusty Italian bread
- 1/4 softened butter
- 1/2 cup crumbled gorgonzola
- 3 pears, ripe and sliced into thin slices
Steps
- Place oven to broil
- Mix butter and gorgonzola
- Cut loaf in half lengthwise, then slice bread into pear-width slices
- Place 2 pear slices on each bread slice and cover with gorgonzola mixture
- Broil until light brown and bubbly
