Sam's Blog

Here is where I'll be sharing my latest thoughts, rants, goings on and food stuff from my travels.

It might be just visual or textual... humorous or profound… technical or novice-like (I'm not professing to be the greatest writer) but with my food storytelling, I hope to share the importance of cooking with your family.

tbt: 7 days of food in Hong Kong, 2010

It's Throwback Thursday, and I wanted to re-visit my awesome mind boggling trip to Hong Kong. tbt: my new zealand foodie trip

Throwback Thursday – lets re-visit this awesome trip...

I flew 13 hours to visit Middle Earth, with only a population of 4 million but the size on California, the Māori make up only 15% of the population but their influence is everywhere, I head to Auckland which is home to 30% of the population. Back on subject, I visit a huge amount of restaurants where I discover the butter, cheddar cheese and egg yolks are all orange. I eat countless meat pies. And, try some amazing local fare at open air market for some traditional 'Boil Up', guided by local Māori chef.
