Sam's Blog

Here is where I'll be sharing my latest thoughts, rants, goings on and food stuff from my travels.

It might be just visual or textual... humorous or profound… technical or novice-like (I'm not professing to be the greatest writer) but with my food storytelling, I hope to share the importance of cooking with your family.

I'm in Finland

Check out my travels to Finland.

I'm here to do a shoot with Finlandia Butter. And, to get properly acquainted with the grass-fed cows n' their beautiful butter.

Goodbye Finland, you made my work week extra special - Kiitos! #helsinki

Gorgeous sandwiches in Gamla Stan (Stockholm's Old Town). Next stop is Finland for #FinlandiaButter @finlandia.cheese

In Finland, shooting for Finlandia Butter with my new love - Lempi. Great butter starts with great milk and Lempi is the greatest.
Check out my butter centric recipes, below.

Karjalanpiirakka in Koskivaara, Finland. A small hand pie filled with rice. Soon good.

Hotel shower design flaw.

Just chillin in Upinniemen varuskunta-alue, Finland. #therealsantaliveshere

HERE'S A FLASH BACK VIDEO FROM 2010, "7 DAYS IN HONG KONG" IN FOOD HEAVEN

The city boasts one of the world's highest per-capita concentrations of cafes and restaurants at one restaurant for every 600 people, so with a population of 7.15 million mixed with 54 million annual visitors, thats pretty impressive.

FEATURE FROM SANDIEGORED.COM

The Baja Cooking Guide enticing people from north of the border.

….Returning from Ensenada after the three-day trip south of the border, “I knew the food scene would be good, but it totally exceeded my expectations on so many levels”. This recent visit opened my eyes to things I had never seen before. “It is not just the food, it’s the service too. In San Diego people do their things well but, here, there is more of a love that goes into it…it’s the experience. It’s the people.”

Sam became interested in Tijuana and Baja a couple of years ago when he was invited to participate in the Tijuana Innovadora summit as a speaker, “that is when I realized what they were trying to do to change the perception of the city”….

"Thanks to Sam the Cooking Guy by being Ambassador of the programme as outstanding host in the United States and to publish the fates and establishments with quality in Baja California!"
