Cream Cheese Dogs

This is going to sound weird...until you try it. Creamy, tangy cream cheese. Sweet, caramelized onions. And pickled jalapeños . It's bold, messy, and absolutely worth it.

Ingredients

  • 1 large yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 all-beef hot dogs
  • 4 brioche hot dog buns
  • Butter for toasting
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup sliced pickled jalapenos

Directions

  • Melt butter with oil in a large pan mand add onions
  • Cook over medium low until caramelized, about 20 minutes stirring often
  • Cook dogs to your liking, then butter and toast buns
  • Build: toasted bun, cream cheese, dog, caramelized onions and finally the pickled jalapenos
