Garlic Bread Breakfast Sandwiches

One of the greatest contributions to food, anywhere in the world has to be the breakfast sandwich. And not only is this one super delicous, it's a fast track one because almost everything starts in the freezer aisle.

Makes 4

Ingredients

  • 8 pieces frozen garlic bread
  • 4 frozen hash brown patties

  • 4 large, or 8 small cooked breakfast sausage
  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 5 large eggs

  • Kosher salt and coarse ground black pepper
  • 4 slices American cheese


Directions

  1. Bake or air fry bread according to package directions until golden and crisp, then transfer to a rack and cool completely  
  2. Bake or air fry hash browns according to package dierctions until deeply crisp and well browned, go a little longer than the package suggests 
  3. Cook the sausage according to package directions 
  4. Melt butter in a nonstick pan over medium-low heat
  5. Whisk eggs with salt and pepper, and cook gently stirring often, until softly scrambled and slightly underdone - then spread on a plate to cool quickly
  6. Build: borrom bread, hash brown, sausage, eggs, slice of cheese, top bread

Meal prep storage

  • Wrap each sandwich tightly in foil or parchment.
Keeps well about 3 days in the fridge, or in the freezer up to 1 month

Reheating

  • Best method:
350° in the oven or air fryer
10-12 minutes from the fridge or 18-22 from frozen
  • Fast method:
Microwave until hot, then crisp in a pan or air fryer
