Garlic Butter Ribs

Garlic Butter Ribs

Garlic. Butter. Ribs. Garlicky butter that get's charred into every bite. ot a grill - great. No grill = still great cuz we'll use the broiler in your oven. No grill or oven? Then a toaster oven will get you there.

Makes 2 racks

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons chipotle chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons coarse ground black pepper
  • 2 racks pork ribs, about 4 pounds
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 8 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Juice of ½ lemon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Mix the garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, salt & pepper in a small bowl
  3. Remove membrane from back of ribs - if you want, if not no bog deal
  4. Wet both sides of ribs with the Worcestershire, then season with the seasoning mix
  5. Put ribs on a rack on a baking sheet, add the vinegar to the pan, cover tightly with foil and bake 90 minutes, or until tender
  6. About 20 minutes before the ribs are done, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, add garlic and cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant but not browned
  7. Stir in honey, soy sauce, Worcestershire, and lemon juice.Let simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened - set aside
  8. When ribs are done, carefully remove the foil (there will be lots of steam) and pour off the liquid
  9. Heat grill to medium high, brush the ribs generously with the garlic butter glaze, and grill 4-5 minutes per side, basting with more glaze and flipping once, until they’re golden, marked and caramelized, or
  10. Set broiler to high, brush ribs and cook, about 6 minutes, flipping once and basting as you go
  11. In either case, brush with any remaining glaze and serve
