Green Chili Cheese Sauce


  • 1/2 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 pound shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons flour
  • 4 ounce can diced green chilies, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin


  1. Melt butter, add milk and cheese in a medium saucepan over low heat, stir in flour to combine
  2. Cook, stirring often until cheese has melted, then add chilies, cumin, garlic powder,
  3. Stir until smooth, add a little more milk if you prefer it slightly thinner or add more cheese if you prefer thicker
