Quite possibly the BEST regional recipe we've ever made!

2-3 Runzas

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup white onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh jalapeno, diced
  • 1.5 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire or soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon beef rub (any kind and it's optional)
  • Ready Dough Loaves (see video)
  • 4-6 slices American Cheese
  • melted butter
