I don’t have a video for this recipe.
If I had a photo, I would most certainly use it. That is... unless the photo I have sucks. For now, you'll just have to picture a big heaping helping of
Crack Burger
...in your mind.

Crack Burger

Viewer Michael Hensley suggested these 'addictive' burgers - his words. And I've gotta say, that while my first reaction was that it was good, tho not quite addictive, I found myself continually drawn back for another bite. Hmmm

Makes 3 burgers

Ingredients

Patty

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons ranch dressing powder
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper

  • Neutral oil
  • 3 tablespoons mayo
  • 1 tablespoon grainy mustard
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce, the Western kind
  • 3 buns
  • Lettuce & tomato for serving

Directions

  1. Put all the patty ingredients in a large bowl, and mix well to combine - just don't overwork the meat too much
  2. Heat griddle or cast iron pan to medium high, add a little oil and put on the patties, cook until they're done to your liking - but be careful flipping them over as they're pretty soft
  3. While they cook, combine the mayo, mustard and chili sauce - mix and set aside
  4. Toast buns, and when patties are ready build with some sauce and lettuce & tomato
