Ghost Pepper Wings

Ghost pepper has some serious heat, but it has a delicious smoky, fruity flavor that will have you both sweating and smiling. And because of the triple cooking, these are crispy, fiery, and totally addictive. And if you don't want to make your own sauce - feel free to buy some. Either way you won't be sorry.

Makes 24 wings

Ingredients

  • 24 chicken wings
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons ghost pepper hot sauce, recipe here if you want to make it yourself
  • 1 - 2 tablespoons honey

Directions

  1. Boil wings in a pot of salted water 3-4 minutes, then dry with paper towels, and spread out on a wire rack to dry - refrigerate at least 30 minutes (you can do this step the day before if you want)
  2. Preheat smoker to 225, and smoked wings about an hour, or until 150-160 degrees
  3. Heat a pot of oil to 375, and fry wings 2 minutes
  4. Melt butter, and stir in hot sauce & honey - mix well
  5. Remove and toss with some of the sauce
